Home School STEM & SKATE Program
If you are looking for the perfect way to invigorate the science curriculum of your child or student, our educational STEM program, curated specifically for home school students, does exactly that for learners of all levels. Each lesson will demonstrate how STEM is used within multiple facets of roller skating and teaches concepts such as motion, energy, gravitational force, sound vibrations & waves, reverse engineering a roller skate, plus so much more! Over 2 million students in more than 125 locations have participated in roller rink STEM programs nationwide - we would love to add your child to this growing number!
1st Mondays of the Month
October 2024-June 2025
10 AM-12 PM
Takes place during our Home School Skate session. Enjoy a two-hour experience consisting of one hour dedicated to STEM education and one hour of physical fitness through roller skating!
Admission: $13 per person
Admission includes standard skate rental.
A ticket must be purchased for each person who is skating. Non-skating chaperoning parents are welcome at no charge.

STEM & SKATE Field Trips
Our new classroom field trip program introduces students to science, technology, engineering, and math principles in a unique and engaging format that will keep their interest long after they leave the bus! Field trip reservations are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12-2 PM and Fridays from 10 AM-12 PM. Reservations are required.
Oregon Science Festival Workshop
September 9, 2024, 5-7 PM
Part of OMSI's science week, join us Monday evening at Oaks Park Roller Rink for a free community STEM night filled with science and skating fun!
Educators-Only Preview Night
September 23, 2024, 5-7:30 PM
This FREE event includes a meet-and-greet with program administrators, a STEM workshop, and roller skating fun! Must show school employee ID. RSVP now at stem@oakspark.com.
Elementary School Field Trips
Ignite the love of science by bringing your grade schoolers for an unforgettable day of fun and learning! Two hour-long packages feature one hour of STEM instruction and one hour of skating. Starts at $11 per student.
Middle School Field Trips
Make learning cool with a day of real-life STEM experiences at your middle schoolers' favorite hangout. Packages start at $11 per student and include one hour of STEM workshops and one hour of skating time.
