Course Dates
This progressive, four-week course focuses on developing basic skating skills and safe skating practices. You will select the 1st week of your 4-week course when you purchase your course admission. Some 4-week courses have break-weeks due to holidays. 2025 course dates are:
Class Times
When registering for a Level I/II course, you will choose 12-12:25 PM or 12:30-12:55 PM for your section timeslot. You must attend the same timeslot each week.
Skaters registered for the 12-12:25 PM section must clear the main skating floor from 12:30-1 PM but may practice on the side floors while waiting for the Open Skate session to begin. Skaters registered for the 12:30 timeslot may arrive at noon and warm up on the side floors until their section begins but may not enter the main floor until 12:30 PM.
Adult Level III starts weekly at noon, and Youth Level III starts weekly at 12:30 PM.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of your timeslot to allow time to put on your skates and be ready for class to begin.
Level I/II is for beginner skaters. To enroll in the Level III class, you must have successfully completed the Level I/II class or have instructor permission.
While all levels share the skating floor during instructional time, each level will work with its own dedicated USA Roller Sports certified coach.
Everyone must have skates on to enter the skating floor.
The number of skaters admitted per course is limited, and courses sell out quickly. To guarantee your spot, you must purchase class registration online. Registration opens 90 days before the first date of the course. Walk-in purchasing is subject to availability.

Starting March 13, Oaks Park accepts card payments only at all locations, including ticketing windows, games, concessions, retail locations, parking meters, etc. You can pay for purchases using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, a debit or prepaid card, or a Chipper Card. Select locations also accept Apple Pay and Android Pay.
What if I only have cash?
The course fee is non-refundable.
In cases of emergency, courses may be rescheduled by emailing weborders@oakspark.com at least 72 hours before the first date listed on your ticket..
If an individual misses a class, they may join the other timeslot on another week within their 4-week course.
There are no makeup days after the conclusion of the 4-week course.
Skate rental is included at no additional charge.
Personal skates are welcome, subject to inspection.
Spectators are welcome at no charge. Spectators may not enter the skating floor.
Roller skating is a physical activity with an inherent risk of injury; by participating, you assume the risk of injury.
All visitors participating in roller skating must complete a waiver. Waivers for minors must be completed by a parent or guardian. Any individual who does not have a waiver on file will not be able to skate.
Please submit your waiver before you arrive at the rink. Waivers are valid for 90 days from the date of submission.
Headgear, headsets, Bluetooth headphones, and sunglasses may not be worn while roller skating. Hats may not be worn while skating except when secured with a hat clip. Loose items, such as cell phones, cameras, stuffed animals, etc., are not permitted on the skating floor. Loose clothing draped around the body may not be taken on the skating floor.
All guests must wear skates to be on the skating floor. For everyone's safety, the following behaviors are prohibited: jumping, fast or reckless skating, weaving, zigzagging, and practicing roller derby moves through traffic. Pushing, shoving, racing, chasing, or playing tag is prohibited in the Roller Rink. Skaters may not stop and stand along the sidewalls to eat and drink over the walls.
No one, including parents of small children, may pick up and/or carry anyone while wearing skates. Sitting on or jumping over the sidewalls is not allowed. Sitting on laps or showing excessive affection is not permitted.
Violating any of these rules may result in eviction from the premises without refunds. Report all conflicts and safety concerns to the staff.
Your course includes admission to the 1-5 PM Open Skate session following class each week. Open Skate admission cannot be substituted for another session date/time.

The Roller Rink does not have A/C. The main skating floor is cooled by a swamp cooler. Rick's Cafe is air-conditioned.
A daily parking fee of $4 per vehicle applies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The fee is payable onsite via self-service parking meters or on your mobile device. Only credit, debit, and prepaid cards are accepted at the parking meters. Chipper cards are not accepted at the parking meters. There are no refunds.
Parking spaces are first-come, first-served, and the lot frequently fills to capacity; do not purchase parking until you are parked onsite. Carpooling is strongly recommended.
The lot is private property and is only available to Oaks Park visitors. Vehicles not parked in designated parking stalls and those blocking the flow of traffic will be towed by A&B Towing at the owner’s expense.
Failure to pay the parking fee will result in penalties. Rates are subject to change without notice.
For frequent visitors, monthly/quarterly unlimited parking permits are available. Parking permits are only available online.
