Oaks Park Skating Club

One of America's largest and most successful roller skating clubs, Oaks Park Skating Club, is proud to support and foster Artistic Roller Skating & Short Track Speed Roller Sports in the Portland, OR area.

Training & Competition

With an extensive and experienced coaching staff, a pro-active booster organization, and the most generous rink operators in the country, our skaters are able to reach the heights of their athletic potential.  Oaks Park is proud to be home to all levels of Artistic and Speed skating, from test center and local contest participants to World Team members.  With over 20 hours of training time available each week plus group classes, fundraising opportunities, training support, and more, OPSC will take your skating to the next level!


Club Guidelines

Great skaters come from great leadership and a great framework for training and competition.  Our club rules and guidelines are maintained on an ongoing basis by our elected club officials with the goal of dynamic leadership helping to ensure that all of our skaters are able to enjoy the sport to its fullest and to skate every day at their best.

      Congratulations, David and Annie!

      For the second consecutive year, Annie MacKay and David Hamblin have qualified to represent the USA at the World Roller Skating Championships.  David has also qualified in the Junior Men Solo Dance division as the 2019 World Team Qualifier Champion.  This year's Worlds will be part of the World Roller Games held in Barcelona, Spain in July.  We wish Annie and David good luck and lots of fun as they show-off Oaks Park Skating Club to the world!

      The expenses per skater for Worlds this year are projected at $3,500+ per skater.  Please consider supporting Annie and David and their families by contributing to their Go Fund Me accounts.

      Michelle Wilde

      Club President

      Coming to us from Vancouver's rink, Michelle is a multi-time National Champion competing in dance and figures.  She enjoys skating alongside her daughter, Kaicyike and volunteering for club activities with her husband Mike.

      Stephanie Hutchison

      Figure Club Vice President

      Stephanie is a successful skater with many National placements and titles.  She competes in World Skate Senior Figures, as well as solo dance and team dance with her boyfriend Chris.

      Sherry White

      Speed Club Vice President

      Sherry is a long-time member of the skating club and has competed in both figure and speed disciplines.  She now focuses solely on speed skating with her daughter and 2 grandsons.

      Mary Warren

      Club Secretary

      Mary began her long association with Oaks Park Skating Club when her children, Jamie and Jeff, and her husband Dave were competitive skaters for the club.

      Kathy Reed

      Club Treasurer

      Kathy has been a competitive figure skater with The Oaks for many years and has competed along with her daughter and granddaughter. Kathy also volunteers weekly helping run Oaks Park Roller Rink's Preschool Play & Skate.

      April Frazier

      Booster Club President

      April and her husband Clint are super supporters of the skating club and devote lots of time to encouraging and supporting all OPSC members.  Her two daughters, Evelyn and Sarah, are competitive skaters in the club.

      Monica Jacquette

      Booster Club Vice President

      Monica, along with her husband Gerald and son Thomas, joined the skating club a few years ago and have been wonderful additions to the rink!  In addition to her officer duties, Monica sews many club member's costumes.

      Emily MacKay

      Club Website/Publicity

      In addition to her role within the park as the Marketing & Events Director, Emily has enjoyed a successful 30 year skating career.  She shares club membership with 7 of her family members.
